In a FOIA request to the School Board Office it was found 43% of Russell County Teachers belong to a teacher union. The great news is that over half of Russell County Teachers do not belong to the NEA (National Education Association). According to Americans for Fair Treatment in 2024 98% of millions in donations from the NEA went to the Democrat Party. According to Open Secrets the NEA gave money to Kamala Harris and not one penny to Donald Trump.
According to the above sources, money was given to organizations that directly support Liberal and Democrat Organizations. These other organization funded things for the LGBYTQ, Black Lives Matter, and DEI initiatives. The NEA Facebook page pictured here has the Pride Flag as their logo.
This organization donates millions of dollars a year to many Liberal Organizations while little to nothing goes to Conservative/Republican Organizations. They donate tons of money to lobbyists who lobby D.C. for funding to go to Liberal Organizations.
Many teachers join the Union for the support they may need if they are sued or need to sue for job protection. While being in the union is understandable being in a Union that completely goes one way is not such a good thing.
In my opinion the NEA is nothing but a Communist Organization that wants to indoctrinate the children to their liberal point of view. The teachers of Russell County need to remember it was the taxpayers of this county that gave them their raise, and it was not the NEA that got the Board of Supervisors to do that. It is a shame that millions of these dollars go organizations that believe in harming children. The transgender movement with children is nothing more than child abuse. Cutting the parts off a minor child is one of the most horrible things imaginable. While the NEA is not directly funding this, they fund organizations that do fund this type of behavior. How can a teacher union that is supposed to be in support of our children work so hard to help those that want to harm our children.
The Democrats are pushing DEI and transgender and basically everything that is un-American and yet all money from the NEA goes to Democrats. Maybe it would be best for NEA to get out of politics completely. Whether you want to or not you have to wonder about any teacher wanting to be a part of this union. If I had children in school, I would not want my child’s teacher involved with this union and giving it money to things that go against all my values.
Indirectly, we are paying a salary to teachers from tax dollars that then ends up with organizations that we are totally against. Teachers pay this with their own money after tax dollars from their salaries. It is their money, and they have the choice to do with it what they want. I just wish they could see that the NEA does not have everyone’s best interest at heart, as they have made that clear with one sided political party spending.
Parents should especially pay attention to what this labor union is doing as Democrats push to let parents have less control over the child’s education. The Democrats in many states are pushing a do not tell parents laws. If your child wants to change gender or in many cases receive medical treatment, then the parent does not have the right to know. As a Christian to me these are un-Godly laws. Parents, please push to know everything going on in your child’s classroom.
