We all know that gun owners have their 2nd Amendment rights. But were you aware that under the Virginia State Constitution that you have more rights as Virginian and also the Declaration of Rights from 1776 provides even more personal right protection.

The Declaration of Rights 1776 allows Virginians the right to possess and obtain property. They also have the right to obtain safety of their property. And as a citizen everything you own and acquire is property.

The 1776 Virginia Declaration of Rights: Article 1:

That all men are by nature equally free and independent and have certain inherent rights, of which, when they enter into a state of society, they cannot by any compact, deprive or divest their prosperity: namely, the enjoyment of life and liberty, with the means of acquiring and possessing property, and pursing and obtaining happiness and safety.

Virginia Democrats are trying to put a bill in and pass it into law that gun shop owners would be liable for the actions of someone that purchased a firearm from them. If this is passed and signed the Governor will be violating the Virginians gun shop owner’s rights.

According to 42 U.S. Code § 1983 Civil Action for Deprivation of Rights:

Every person who, under color of an statue, ordinance, regulation, custom, or usage, of any State or Territory or the District of Columbia, subjects, or causes to be subjected, any citizen of the United States or other person within jurisdiction thereof to the deprivation of any rights, privileges or immunities secured by the Constitution and laws, shall be liable to the party injured in an action of law, suit in equity, or other proper proceeding for redress.

Gun shop owners are encouraged to band together and sue if the liability law is placed in to effect in Virginia. They can use this Deprivation of Rights or other Constitutional clauses to sue and overturn this unfair Virginia law being placed on them by the State of Virginia. Gun shop owners, you need to take the lead on this matter. VCDL has no standing in the court of law as an injured party, but all gun shop owners are clearly the injured party if you are going to be liable for someone using a gun in a crime that you had nothing to do with.

Turn your Virginia heartbeats into drums and march forward. Please join the VCDL now if you want to protect your rights and the next generation’s rights. Please contact your local board of supervisor members about your concerns, about the liberties given to you by the creator being violated by tyrants. Please attend your local government board meetings and speak up during public comments. Please take time to voice your concerns with your state delegates and state senators. It is past time for all citizens to get involved in government if we are going to protect our rights and steer this once great state away from communism.

We keep asking for someone to fix our problems. The answer to that is the person that needs to fix the problem is you. You must get off the couch and get active in doing everything you can to end this socialist style of government that wants to restrict our freedoms. Someone will shout that is unconstitutional why is nothing being done. Well, you know it is unconstitutional then rally people with you willing to fight to protect our rights. Nothing gets done if you wait for someone else to pick up the fight. You must pick up the mantle and carry the fight to protect our rights. And remember if you take the lead people will follow and before you know it everyone will be off the couch.
