Notice has been sent for the meeting March 25th. The tax rate not to raise taxes in Washington County is 40 cents. The recommendation to the board is for 44 to 46 cents. This means the Board plans to raise your taxes 4 to 6 cents per $100 of value. No increase would have been 40 cents. The board has been having excess in taxes around 4 million for the last 4 or 5 years so why do they need to increase your taxes. Less spending would help. Now they want more of your dollars to spend. CALL YOUR SUPERVISOR AND TELL THEM NO TAX INCREASE!
